Valentine’s Day of 2019, we officially introduced K&J Weddings to the world. After months of planning and preparation, our website was launched and we embarked on an unpredictable journey that has had a lot of delightful moments meeting new clients and scheduling future weddings!
We thought it would be a great idea to do a styled wedding in order to get some unpressured practice, as well as continue to build our portfolio. We reached out to Soul Focus Media and together we made our vision come to life.
We were thrilled when The Booking House in Manheim—one of Lancaster’s premier wedding, reception, and event destinations—agreed to host our event. With the never-ending rain of the day, it turned into the absolute perfect location for an indoor shoot thanks to all of the weathered, exposed wood and red brick.
Melody, of Blush Beautiful, and Samantha, of Swept Hair Studio, dazzled us with their talents and made every person in our bridal party look far beyond our expectations. Speaking of, it was a joy to have Ben and Debbie Cross (also photographers!) as our bride & groom. The rest of the bridal party was filled with stunning couples who took time out of their busy schedules to make this happen! Thank-you Todd & Steph Griffen, Eric & Myriah Resch, Kendra Martin, and Seth Robbins!
We partnered with Central PA Tuxedo for men’s attire as well as In White Bridal of Lancaster for a stunning lace gown, a variety of bridesmaids’ dresses that complemented our color theme and an adorable flower girl dress.
Ashley of RSVP Love handcrafted a beautiful invitation suite, menu, and place cards while Greta of Lace and Peonies put together sophisticated floral displays. The bride and bridesmaid bouquets, boutonnieres, rose display for our wooden arch, and greenery garland for the farm tables made this feel like one for the history books. It felt very 2019 and on-trend!
We also had charming, delicate china place settings from Fay Louise Vintage. The variety of patterns and textures that each set provided was beautiful to photograph, and even the pictures don’t quite do the quality of each piece justice! Renee of Bella Manse provided the dessert, and it was as delicious as it looks! The naked cake and cupcake display were simple and chic. Putting a few floral extras into the mix made it all come together for our big day. And what wedding would be complete without favors? Denise, of Chocolates Unlimited, provided us with chocolate-coated
Thanks to everyone who helped make this day possible. Every individual detail felt so thought out and curated. And thanks to all of the other photographers who took part. It was fun to meet you all and write another page in the K&J story! Lindsay Hart Photography, Yellow Brick Road Portraits, Zara Kohr Photography, Amanda Zeiders Photography, Emma Dallman Design & Photography, and John Schuchman Photography joined us in capturing the beauty of the day!
